<h4><span style="font-weight: bold;">Curriculam</span></h4><div><div>In every class the emphasis is on social, physical and emotional development and acquiring of language, reading and numeric skills through pictures and themes. The children are also introduced to the beginning of many of the foundation subjects.</div><div><br></div><div>The curriculum is hence so designed that the children are enabled to acquire and develop knowledge, skills and understanding through topics and cross-curricular themes. A boarder curriculum is provided beyond the foundation subject such as Music and movement, Literature, Poetry, Drama, Sports, Health Education and personal and social Education are all part of the curriculum.</div><div><br></div><div>The most effective learning is based on understanding and, every possible opportunity is given to children to children to learn through first hand experience.</div></div><div><hr></div><h4><span style="font-weight: bold;">Helping your child</span></h4><div>...with the early stages of reading<br></div><div><ul class="circle_list"><li>TALK about anything and everything using a wide vocabulary<br></li><li>LOOK at pictures, observing details, sings and works.<br></li><li>LISTEN to sounds, rhythms, music , rhymes and jingles.<br></li><li>READ stories and rhymes that you both enjoy.<br></li><li>...with the beginning of mathematics and science<br></li><li>COUNT everything (how many Step ? Bricks ? Cars?)<br></li><li>TALK about laying the table, making the bed, digging the garden etc.<br></li><li>LOOK at shapes and sizes, differences and similarities, movement and speed.<br></li><li>QUESTION How ? When ? What ? Why ?<br></li></ul></div>
